BLACKPINK member Jisoo has been diagnosed with COVID-19. On May 30, Jisoo had mild cold symptoms and tested negative through a self-test. However, she received a final confirmation at a hospital on the same day.
BLACKPINK is currently holding their world tour “Born Pink” concerts. Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé will participate in the concert from June 3 to June 4 in Osaka, Japan.
Jisoo reportedly regretted not being able to meet with her fans. We wish BLACKPINK’s Jisoo a speedy recovery.

Personal aspirations
Korean girl groups usually sign a seven-year contract with their agency. BLACKPINK debuted in 2016 and their contract with YG ends in 2024. If the contract is renewed, the group will continue to work as BLACKPINK, but if it is not renewed, the members of BLACKPINK will split up.
The group recently released a music video for the song “Shut Down,” which has sparked a firestorm among fans. Fans are worried because it looks like the group is preparing to say goodbye to BLACKPINK.
I don’t know how the contract will work out, but I would like to see BLACKPINK continue to be active as they have achieved great success around the world. YG previously failed to re-sign a girl group called 2NE1, which led to the group’s disbandment. It was more of a contract extension than a disbandment, but it was the same for fans.
I would like to see Blackpink, a successful girl group, on stage for a few more years.
